In 2016, I launched Silcom Recruitment from my spare bedroom, showcasing my humble desk setup in the image below. For about 14-15 months, I toiled solo, using a whiteboard atop an ironing board, simultaneously building the business and its financial standing. This effort paved the way for me to secure an office space and hire additional help.

The journey was a mix of incredible moments and solitary stretches. I vividly recall my first placement, which happened with The Eden Motor Group—a client we continue to serve today. The primary goal was to establish a name and reputation in the motor trade. My emphasis was on a proactive, customer-centric approach, coupled with a highly competitive pricing model. I firmly believe that these principles have been instrumental in our success.
I am genuinely passionate about my work—facilitating employment opportunities for individuals and supporting companies with their hiring needs. The recruitment industry is a fascinating space.
Outside of work, my joy revolves around spending quality time with my wife and two children. I stay active, delve into business-related literature, and recently invested in a video editing and Canva course, nurturing a keen interest in content creation.
INTERESTING FACT: I have an identical twin brother who also runs his own recruitment business. Entrepreneurship seems to run in the family, as my sister manages two companies—Vivid Mortgages and Sunday Moon Jewellery. Oh, and once upon a time, I struck gold with five numbers on the lottery!
