Silcom Recruitment occupies a spacious office in Hampshire and has a key focus in the South, but also operates nationally.
I started Silcom Recruitment in my spare bedroom back in 2016, my humble desk set up in the picture below. I worked hard on my own for circa 14-15 months, keeping myself company whilst building the business and the business cash position, to enable me to secure an office and hire someone.
Many amazing moments, and many lonely moments – I remember my first placement like it was yesterday.
With a focus of building a name and reputation within the motor trade. I really wanted to focus on providing a pro-active, customer centric approach, whilst also providing a more than competitive pricing model. I strongly believe these ethics have played a huge part in our success.
I love what I do, securing employment for people, supporting companies with their hiring needs – recruitment is an amazing industry.
In my spare time I love spending time with my wife and two children, proud that I’m able to spend more time with them. I enjoy keeping fit, reading business related books and recently I paid to go through a video editing and Canva course, I have a keen interest in content creation.
Interesting fact about me - I am a twin who also runs his own recruitment business. I also once won 5 numbers on the lottery!
I’m the fresh new recruiter on the block with Silcom Recruitment since October 2021. I have studied everything from the bottom up, with close mentoring from senior recruiters such as Sam and Josh at Silcom.
Through my experience with the business, I have formed a great passion for my work and love building new profitable relationships.
To be relied on by other industry professionals for my council as a trusted consultant is so gratifying, I take great pride in my new reputation and in the high quality of my work!
Before Silcom Recruitment I studied “Environmental Construction, and Health & Safety” to become an Environmental Consultant, gaining an Extended Diploma through college. This taught me to have strict standards as well as how to become a reliable client and advisor.
FUN & INTERESTING FACT: I’m an independent novelist working at complex story writing, while in my spare time I compete in online strategy games and enjoy live music.
I started in recruitment back in 2014 & joined Silcom Recruitment in 2017. Before I started my career in recruitment I completed an Apprenticeship with the University of Chichester in Sports Management.
An opportunity came up that I couldn’t refuse to join Silcom Recruitment in the early stages and help grow the business which really excited me and haven’t looked back since! I joined the business as a Recruitment Consultant & have continuously progressed, I now have the proud title of Associate Director. I love the fast pace of recruitment and having impact on many people’s lives on a daily basis. No day is the same. I also love cars, so the motor trade industry is great fun to work in!
INTERESTING FACT: Play tennis at an advanced level and represent & captain at my local club, competing across the county.
In my spare time – I spend the majority of my time with my wife, our 3 year old & our dog. I love anything sport related and enjoy playing Tennis, golf (terribly) & Football.
I started my early career as a trainee sales executive for Volkswagen in 2018, recruited by Silcom from my part time role at H&M. I quickly progressed within 3 months, as a fully-fledged sales executive where I sold 130 units in the first year. I was then headhunted after 2 years for Harwood’s Audi.
After 3 years as a Sales Executive across the two brands selling over 350 cars I decided it was time for a change. Now having seen the motor industry from the inside and having taken great pride in delivering high levels of customer service, I decided I wanted to explore something new…
This is what brought me back to Silcom.
I am pleased to say I’m now selling careers, rather than cars.
I loved the feeling of putting dreams on driveways but this is so much bigger, supporting people with life changing career opportunities.
INTERESTING FACT: I love spending time with my girlfriend travelling and my family. I enjoy the gym and football, I have had a fitness coach for the last two years and I find myself in the gym at 5:00 am every morning. If you don’t find me in the gym you will find me in flannels...
