Regional Dealership Accountant - Exeter

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment is excited to announce an excellent opportunity for an experienced Regional Dealership Accountant to join a leading automotive dealership group. Based in Exeter, this role is perfect for a finance professional with a strong background in the motor trade, who is ready to oversee and enhance the financial operations across multiple dealership locations.

Motor trade experience essential.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Regional Dealership Accountant:

Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.

Develop, monitor, and manage regional dealership budgets and financial forecasts.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for multiple dealership locations.

Ensure adherence to financial regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Analyse costs and financial performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Oversee inventory accounting and valuation, including stock levels and asset depreciation.

Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Provide financial guidance and recommendations to dealership management for strategic decision-making.

Monitor and manage regional cash flow to ensure operational liquidity.

Utilise financial software and systems to generate reports and analyse financial data.

Work closely with dealership managers and other financial professionals to align financial strategies with operational goals.

Package:

Basic Salary £60,000 + £6,000 Bonus + Company Car!!

Monday to Friday hours [8:30am – 5:30am]!
