The Role:

Silcom Recruitment is seeking an Accounts Assistant on behalf of a long-standing and well-established business based in Fareham.

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive finance team, assisting with day-to-day transactional and administrative duties to keep the department running smoothly.

Responsibilities & Requirements of an Accounts Assistant:

Maintain and update departmental spreadsheets.

Raise and process customer invoices.

Produce customer statements and support credit control by chasing outstanding payments.

Manage the shared accounts inbox and incoming post.

Process supplier invoices and staff expenses accurately.

Use Sage (or similar accounting software) for daily finance tasks.

Provide general administrative support to the accounts team.

Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role is essential, along with good Excel skills and experience using Sage or another accounting system.

Package:

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 basic, plus quarterly, and annual bonuses.

Hours: Monday to Thursday (9:00am - 5:00pm) Friday (9:00am – 4:00pm)
