Paint Technician - Southampton

The Role:

A quality client of ours based in Southampton is actively seeking a new Vehicle Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician. Silcom Recruitment are actively assisting this business and are seeking an experienced and aptly qualified person to join our clients well-equipped setup.

The suitable Paint Technician will be confident in all the associated duties of working in a bodyshop or accident repair centre environment. And should be comfortable working alongside other professional bodyshop team members, senior executives and working face-to-face with clients at times.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Paint Technician:

Responsible for ensuring the correct paint repair is performed on the damaged vehicles

Ensuring the correct paint is chosen and the appropriate preparation is performed on the vehicle before it is painted

Maintain the paint room and associated equipment to ensure it is of a good working order reporting any defaults to the management

Follow instructions on the job card regarding the re-paint

Use PPE and safety measure in the paint room (extraction fan) to minimise accidents

Supervise other team members as necessary

Report any problems that arise to the Work Controller and liaise with other departments where appropriate

Able to work well under pressure and to deadlines

Package:

Basic Salary - Up to £17 an hour [dependent on experience & negotiable]

Excellent bonus potential, training & overtime opportunities | OTE - £42,000+ Potential!!

Monday to Friday (8:30am- 5:30pm) FULLY FLEXIBLE + NO WEEKENDS!!
