Vehicle Technician - Wokingham

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment is actively seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician on behalf of one of our highly regarded and forward-thinking clients, based in the Wokingham area.

Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Technician to join their professional workshop team. This position will see you working with a wide range of exciting vehicles, carrying out diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and maintenance to the highest standards.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

Perform vehicle servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards.

Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently and accurately using modern diagnostic equipment.

Communicate effectively with the Service Manager and wider team regarding repair progress and findings.

Occasionally liaise directly with customers to explain technical work and provide expert advice.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Level 2 or above qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic within a franchised or independent workshop.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Package:

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience).

Auto Enrolment Pension (from 22 years old upwards).

23 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (30-minute lunch) - Not open at weekends.
