Vehicle Technician - Petersfield

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a well-established and reputable independent vehicle specialist based in Petersfield, Hampshire, who are looking to appoint a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their workshop team.

Our client has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality vehicle servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and mechanical repairs. Working within a specialist workshop equipped with modern diagnostic equipment, this is a fantastic opportunity for a technician with strong mechanical knowledge to join a friendly, experienced, and professional team.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a range of vehicles.

Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.

Undertake repairs involving brakes, clutches, suspension, steering, gearboxes, and other vehicle components.

Complete vehicle inspections and health checks, ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard.

Identify additional work required and communicate findings clearly to the workshop team.

Work efficiently and accurately, maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Previous experience working within a main dealership or independent garage environment is essential.

Experience working with premium or specialist vehicles would be advantageous, although technicians from other manufacturer backgrounds will be considered.

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is preferred.

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities would be advantageous.

A valid UK driving licence is essential.

The Package:

Salary: Up to £55,000 basic!

Hours: Monday – Friday - No Weekends!

Modern workshop facilities with up-to-date diagnostic equipment.
