Service Receptionist - Petersfield

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded automotive accident repair centre based in the Petersfield area. Our client is seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Receptionist to join their busy Bodyshop team.

Operating from an established and highly regarded repair centre, the business provides a comprehensive range of vehicle accident and body repair services, including collision repairs, dent removal, paint and scratch repairs, vehicle diagnostics and associated repair work.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised Service Receptionist to join a successful automotive business and become an integral part of a busy Bodyshop operation.

Working closely with customers, technicians, estimators and the wider Bodyshop team, you will be responsible for providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact while helping to ensure customers receive a smooth and well-communicated experience throughout their vehicle's repair journey.

Responsibilities of a Service Receptionist:

Act as the first point of contact for customers visiting or contacting the Bodyshop.

Welcome customers professionally and establish the nature of their enquiry or vehicle repair requirements.

Handle incoming telephone calls, emails and customer enquiries efficiently and professionally.

Book customer vehicles into the Bodyshop and coordinate appointments for vehicle assessments, repairs and collections.

Keep customers regularly informed regarding the progress of their vehicle repairs.

Liaise closely with estimators, technicians and Bodyshop colleagues to obtain repair updates and communicate these clearly to customers.

Coordinate vehicle drop-offs and collections, ensuring all relevant paperwork and information is completed accurately.

Assist with the organisation and administration of courtesy vehicles where required.

Communicate with insurance companies, accident management companies and other third parties when necessary.

Ensure customer and vehicle records are maintained accurately and kept up to date throughout the repair process.

Handle customer queries and concerns professionally, escalating matters to the appropriate colleague when required.

Provide customers with clear information regarding repair timescales and manage expectations throughout the process.

Support the preparation and processing of repair documentation, invoices and other administrative paperwork.

Ensure the reception and customer-facing areas are maintained to a professional standard.

Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, technicians, estimators and colleagues across the business.

Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service from the initial enquiry through to the customer's vehicle collection.

Support the wider Bodyshop team in achieving customer satisfaction, operational and departmental targets.

The Package:

Salary: Up to £35,000 Basic

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 17:30pm – 1 in 2 Saturday mornings 08:00am-12:00pm.
