Vehicle Technician - Waterlooville

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a well-established, family-run independent garage in Waterlooville, who are looking to appoint a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their workshop team.

Our client has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality vehicle servicing, MOT testing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs. Working on a wide range of makes and models, this is a fantastic opportunity for a technician with strong mechanical knowledge to join a friendly, experienced, and professional workshop environment.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles.

Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.

Undertake repairs involving brakes, clutches, suspension, steering, and other vehicle components.

Complete vehicle inspections and health checks, ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard.

Identify additional work required and communicate findings clearly to the workshop team.

Work efficiently and accurately, maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Previous experience working within a main dealership or independent garage environment is essential.

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is preferred.

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities would be advantageous.

A valid UK driving licence is essential.

The Package:

Salary: Up to £45,000 basic!

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm - No Weekends!
