Vehicle Technician [Part-Time] - Southampton

The Role:

At present, Silcom Recruitment are actively seeking Vehicle Technicians across all ranges of experience to work flexibly with one of our top clients locally in Southampton. Working hours and rates are highly negotiable and our client is open to meeting experienced people from a variety of automotive environments.

Our client is in great need of confident, passionate Vehicle Technicians who are well-prepared and trained to enter a dealership environment! However, they are also open to meeting with less qualified or experienced individuals who are seeking to build a strong career for themselves within a main-dealer.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

To be considered for the role, you will ideally be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, City & Guilds or hold equivalent qualifications

You will ideally have at least a year’s practice or training experience in a busy workshop environment

If you have experience with MOT testing, running diagnostics or hold higher qualifications – there are many significant benefits!

A full UK driving licence

The ability to communicate with customers effectively

A sound mechanical knowledge

Franchise dealership experience preferred – but not essential!

Package:

Basic Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum (experience / contract dependent) + Bonus

Hours: [Full or Part-Time] Highly negotiable!
