Vehicle Technician - Melksham

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established main dealer, based in Melksham.

Applications are encouraged from qualified Vehicle Technicians, Service Technicians, Diagnostic Technicians or MOT Testers with a proven track record within a main dealer or independent workshop environment.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a range of vehicles to manufacturer standards.

Diagnose faults accurately using the latest diagnostic equipment and rectify issues efficiently.

Conduct MOT testing (if qualified) and ensure all work is completed in line with DVSA and manufacturer guidelines.

Maintain accurate service and repair records, ensuring compliance with company and manufacturer standards.

Work collaboratively with the service team to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Relevant NVQ/IMI Level 2 or 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) is essential.

MOT licence preferred but not essential.

The Package:

£32,000 – £36,500 Basic Salary (experience dependent)

£45,000 – £50,000 realistic OTE

25 days holiday, rising with length of service

Working hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (no weekends unless overtime)
