Service Advisor - Reading

The Role:

We are working with a long-standing, independent motor trade business based in Reading, known for their consistent growth, excellent customer care, and commitment to high standards of service. They support both private and business customers across a wide range of vehicle needs.

Due to continued success and internal growth, they are now seeking to add a Service Advisor to their team – someone who thrives in a customer-facing role and enjoys the pace and challenge of a busy service department.

As a Service Advisor, you will be the face of the aftersales department, taking care of customer bookings, managing repair updates, and ensuring a smooth, informed journey throughout each visit.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing service and repair bookings efficiently

Providing clear updates and advice to customers on progress and additional work required

Liaising with the workshop team to ensure accurate job completion and turnaround

Handling service admin tasks including invoicing and warranty claims

Maintaining strong customer relationships and high satisfaction levels

Promoting additional services where appropriate

About You:

Previous experience in a Service Advisor or similar aftersales role (essential)Strong communication and customer service skills

Confident working in a busy dealership or independent garage environmentI

T literate - experience with DMS systems advantageous

Positive, team-oriented attitude

Full UK driving licence required

Package:

£28,000 - £33,000 basic salary (depending on experience)

Realistic OTE of £37,000

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm

1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am – 12:30pm (on rota)
