Service Advisor - Outskirts of Portsmouth

The Role:

Here at Silcom Recruitment, we have a new and exciting experienced Service Advisor vacancy on the outskirts of Portsmouth. As a Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role as the sole advisor in this business. Your expertise in the motor industry and excellent interpersonal skills will contribute to the seamless operation of our business. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, providing them with exceptional service, expert advice, and guiding them through their vehicle service experience.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Service Advisor:

Welcoming customers and handling vehicle check-ins, both in-person and through phone and email communication.

Overseeing all appointments and facilitating sales-related interactions.

Procuring necessary parts and preparing cost estimates for customers.

Monitoring the status of ongoing work and tracking parts procurement.

Ensuring all required paperwork is properly filled out.

Creating invoices and processing payments.

Supervising service and MOT (Ministry of Transport) reminder notifications.

Keeping the GDS system up to date.

Managing the return of parts and handling credit transactions.

Requirements:

Previous experience in the motor industry as a Service Advisor is essential.

Strong understanding of automotive services, repairs, and maintenance.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently as the sole advisor in this garage.

Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.

Proficient in using computer systems and software for record keeping.

Commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Valid driving license.

Package:

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday [8:30am – 17:30pm] with an hour lunch

Every other Saturday [8:30am – 13:30pm]
