Senior Accounts Assistant - Basildon

The Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join an established motor trade business, based around the outskirts of Basildon. 

Our client, a well-established new and used franchise car dealership, is actively seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant who is now seeking the next step in their career. Working as part of a team, supporting the Dealership Accountant, the ideal Senior Accounts Assistant will be responsible but not limited to the following duties:

**Study Support Offered For The Successful Applicant – After Successful Probation**

Responsibilities:

Assisting the Management Accountant with the monthly accounts prep - Eventually progressing to producing the monthly accounts themselves

Trial balance sheet reconciliation

Accruals and Prepayments

Preparing monthly financial reports

Calculating salary and commissions

Meeting with senior members of staff to review monthly accounts and discuss any possible amendments

Liaising and supporting members of staff

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ accounts experience

Knowledge and experience in using CDK/ Kerridge systems preferred

Motor trade experience (desirable not essential)

AAT studier preferred 

The Package:

Monday to Friday 9.00am – 6.00pm (1-hour lunch break)

Starting salary of £20,000 - £26,000 (Experience Dependant)
