Sales Controller - Reading

The Role:

We are recruiting on behalf of a long-established and highly respected client in the motor trade, seeking a Business Manager / Sales Controller to join their successful sales team based in Reading.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced automotive professional with a strong track record in the vehicle sales environment. The ideal candidate will have held the position of Business Manager or Sales Controller, with a proven ability to lead, drive performance, and maximise finance and insurance opportunities.

Our client is also willing to consider applicants who are currently in a Senior Sales Executive position with management responsibilities seeking a step up.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Business Manager / Sales Controller:

Oversee the sales process and support the sales team to achieve performance targets

Deliver outstanding customer service and finance-related guidance

Manage and present finance and insurance products effectively

Build and maintain relationships with finance providers

Ensure compliance with FCA guidelines and company policies

Proven experience in a vehicle sales environment

Previous role as a Business Manager or Sales Controller (essential)

In-depth knowledge of automotive finance products and suppliers

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong IT literacy

The Package:

£30,000 basic salary with an OTE of £50,750

Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 6:00pm / Saturdays: 8:30am – 6:00pm/ Wednesday’s Off – No Sundays!  

1 late shift required until 9:00pm on either a Tuesday or Thursday.
