Fleet Operations Manager - Portsmouth

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment are looking for an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to lead a busy Fleet Services team, ensuring vehicles remain on the road, customers receive outstanding service, and operations run efficiently. Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll lead a small team, oversee daily fleet operations, drive continuous improvement, and identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve processes and enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach and develop the Fleet Services team.

Oversee vehicle maintenance, repairs, MOTs and breakdown management.

Monitor KPIs and implement operational improvements.

Manage supplier performance and control costs.

Build strong customer relationships and improve service delivery.

Introduce new processes, ideas, technology and reporting to increase efficiency.

Work with senior management to support business growth.

About You:

You'll ideally have:

Proven experience in fleet management, vehicle leasing or automotive operations.

Previous people management experience.

Commercial awareness with a focus on efficiency and cost control.

Confidence using fleet systems, Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

The Package:

Basic salary of £42,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience, discretionary performance bonus, plus a company car & other great benefits.

Monday to Friday working week.
