Finance Controller - Fareham

The Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified (ACA/ACCA/ACMA/CIMA) Financial Controller, recruited exclusively by Silcom Recruitment to join an established SME business, based around the outskirts of Fareham, Hampshire.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be a hands-on Financial Controller with responsibility for overseeing a small team. You will be able to showcase technical accounting ability, commercial acumen and drive to contribute towards future growth plans of the business.

Responsibilities:

Producing monthly management accounts for two trading companies

Quarterly reporting

Variance analysis

Contribution to monthly management pack

Companies House, HMRC and governance based admin

Key Attributes:

Strong technical accounting ability

Ability to build relationships quickly and integrate into existing team

Analytical skills with experience doing variance analysis

Previous/Current Project Accounting skills preferred

Willing to challenge peers and Directors commercially and contribute to strategic discussions

A self-starter with an enquiring mind

Experience of running a small team

Experience of running payroll (although this is currently done by the Assistant Accountant)

Evidence of ability to learn new systems,Sage experience preferred

Our client will consider individuals currently working within the Finance Controller capacity, as well as a seasoned, established, Management Accountant looking to take the step up.

£45,000-£55,000 basic salary (based on experience)
