Dealership Accountant - Shrewsbury

The Role:

An excellent and exciting opportunity to join a well-established Independent organisation in the motor trade has come up and we are recruiting for a dealership business based around the outskirts of Shrewsbury. Our client has built a superb reputation in the area during and due to continued growth, our client now seeks an experienced motor trade Dealership Accountant OR Assistant Accountant to work very closely with the Finance Controller and take full ownership of the company’s accounting function.

Responsibilities:

Production of monthly management accounts for x7 sites covering x2 franchises..

Management of Sales Administrators and overseeing the Administration team, Purchase and Sales Ledgers and other accounts staff.

Daily management of team of 4 people.

Profit & loss, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets VAT returns, high volumes of reconciling.

Debits and credits, with high attention to detail required in all aspects of the role.

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced Dealership Accountant to take full ownership of the accounting function for an exciting, growing business. 

***However, our client will also consider an experienced Assistant Accountant looking for a step up into Management Accountant level position, and would be given full training and support by the current Dealership Accountant to achieve this.***

The Package:

£30,000 - £32,000 Depending on experience, plus superb company benefits.

Monday to Friday - 08:30am - 5:30pm with 45 minutes for lunch.
