Assistant Accountant - Southampton

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of an established new and used franchise car dealership, based around the outskirts of Southampton. Our client seeks an experienced Assistant Accountant who will support the Finance Controller with the production of the monthly management accounts.

Responsibilities:

Assist with month end process including the production of Management Accounts

Balance sheet reconciliation

Accruals and Prepayments

Fixed Asset Register reconciliation

Reconciliation of Vehicle Stocks and Vehicle funding

Reconciliation of Vehicle Bonuses

Assisting with the annual budgeting process

Variance analysis and reporting

Submission of Monthly Performance data to Manufacturers

Requirements:

Experience with accounting software – CDK

Qualified or studying towards AAT, or equivalent qualification

Experience within a motor trade business preferred but not essential

The Package:

£20,000 - £25,000 - Depending on experience 

Monday to Friday - 8:30am - 5:00pm (One-hour lunch)
