Assistant Accountant - Oxford

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment currently have the pleasure of working alongside one of our most celebrated clients to help bring them a motor trade experienced Assistant Accountant to their premium Oxford based dealership.  

To fit this business, a suitable Assistant Accountant must have a productive and efficient attitude, as well as thorough automotive accounts and automotive system experience.

An Assistant Accountant for such a business should have excellent business awareness and intelligence, as well as having the will and ability to work with upper management and other prestigious business partners, aiding with various projects all while managing a small team when necessary.

Role and Responsibilities of an Assistant Accountant:

The Assistant Accountant will have prior transactional finance experience as well as some month end duties.

Strong attention to detail and comfortable being hands on and supporting the team.

Assist with the Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger Billing

Assist with the reconciliations of large accounts

Complete the reconciliation of Sales Ledger invoice uploads at month end

Potential responsibility for reconciliation of some of the Balance sheet accounts

Proficiency in Excel and automotive systems e.g. Kerridge, CDK, Keyloop…

The Package: 

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

Benefits: Pension and car leasing scheme + other discounted prices and more

Hours: [Full-Time – 37.5 hours per week] Negotiable

[Note: our client can offer differing start/finish times, up to as early as 1:00pm so long as the 37.5-hour mark is achieved each week]
