Vehicle Technician - Southampton

Role:

Here at Silcom Recruitment, we are seeking a highly experienced and versatile all-rounded Vehicle Technician to join an independent workshop. The ideal candidate will be a qualified technician with an active MOT license, capable of handling a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair tasks. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough diagnostics and efficiently carry out mechanical, electrical and electronic repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models.

Perform MOT testing in compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.

Execute routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire replacements.

Interact professionally with customers, explaining vehicle issues and repair recommendations clearly and ensuring excellent customer service.

Identify and troubleshoot complex vehicle issues, finding effective solutions to ensure safe and reliable vehicle performance.

Maintain high-quality work standards, adhering to best practices and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with a well-rounded skill set.

Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive repair.

Active MOT license - Desired.

Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills.

Knowledge of the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Package:

Competitive basic salary of £41,750.
