Vehicle Technician - Rochdale

The Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join a wellestablished, manufacturerapproved main dealer based in Rochdale. This is a fulltime, permanent position offering a competitive salary, performance bonus, and the chance to work within a supportive, modern workshop environment.

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll play a key role in carrying out routine servicing, diagnostics, and repair work to manufacturer standards. You’ll join a friendly team of professionals, backed by a respected automotive group and ongoing technical training.

Responsibilities:

Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs to a high standard.

Carry out diagnostics and fault-finding using manufacturer-approved equipment.

Ensure all work is completed in line with safety and compliance standards.

Accurately record job details, parts used, and time taken using dealer systems.

Communicate effectively with the service team and provide technical feedback when required.

Maintain a clean, safe working environment in the workshop.

Stay up to date with manufacturer bulletins and attend training where required.

Experience & Skills:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair – essential.

Prior experience in a dealership or fast paced independent workshop setting.

Competent with modern diagnostic equipment and fault-finding procedures.

Strong mechanical knowledge across a variety of makes and models.

A reliable and team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.

Full UK driving licence is essential.

Package & Benefits:

Salary: £32,509 – £40,376 per annum (depending on experience)

Bonus scheme: Uncapped performance-related bonus

Working hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00 & 1 in 2 Saturday mornings: 08:30 – 12:30.
