Vehicle Technician - Outskirts Of Melksham

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our valued client – a well-established, independent, family-run business on the outskirts of Melksham. Known for their honest approach, high-quality service, and welcoming atmosphere, they take pride in creating a supportive and enjoyable workplace.

Our client offers a fully comprehensive training program, meaning they are open to applicants with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) across a variety of skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Servicing and repairing all makes and models, including clutch, brake, suspension, and cooling/heating systems.

Carrying out basic diagnostics using manual tools and digital equipment.

Replacing interior and exterior trims and panels (excluding bodywork).

Conducting test drives to ensure all repairs meet a high standard.

Tackling various repairs and maintenance tasks with a problem-solving attitude.

A valid driver’s license is required.

The Package:

Basic Salary: £25,000 - £38,000 (D.O.E)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (½-hour unpaid lunch)

Full training provided to gain your Level 3 qualification
