Vehicle Technician - Mountsorrel

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established, used car operation, based in Mountsorrel.

Applications are encouraged from qualified Vehicle Technicians, Service Technicians, Diagnostic Technicians or MOT Testers with a proven track record within a main dealer or independent workshop environment.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer standards.

Diagnose faults accurately using the latest diagnostic equipment and rectify issues efficiently.

Conduct MOT testing (if qualified) and ensure all work is completed in line with DVSA and manufacturer guidelines.

Maintain accurate service and repair records, ensuring compliance with company and manufacturer standards.

Work collaboratively with the service team to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Relevant NVQ/IMI Level 2 or 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) is essential.

MOT licence preferred but not essential.

The Package:

£30,000 – £35,000 Basic Salary (Experience dependent) £40,000+ OTE achievable

Ongoing training and career development opportunities

Working hours: 8:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, plus Saturday mornings on a 1 in 2 rota basis
