Vehicle Technician - Mountsorrel

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a loyal client at their expanding used car sales and service operation in Mountsorrel. Our client offers excellent working facilities and provides a comprehensive training and development program to help you progress your career, along with a competitive salary package.

Our client is open to considering both Level 2 and Level 3 qualified mechanics (or equivalent). Prior experience in this field is essential, and an MOT license is preferred but not mandatory, as training can be provided.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and general vehicle servicing.

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles.

Carry out repairs on brakes, suspension, steering, and exhaust systems.

Complete timing belt and clutch replacements where required.

Perform pre-delivery inspections to ensure vehicles meet quality and safety standards.

Carry out MOT testing and repairs (if qualified).

Provide customers with advice on the condition of their vehicle and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.

Ensure all work is completed to company standards and within the specified timeframes.

Keep accurate records of work completed, including any parts ordered and installed.

Work collaboratively with the service team to maintain a high standard of workshop efficiency.

The Package:

Vehicle Technician: £27,500 - £32,000 Basic Salary D.O.E plus £5,000 achievable bonus = OTE up to £37,000.

Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester: £33,000 - £37,000 DOE plus £5,000 achievable bonus = OTE up to £42,000.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, plus every other Saturday morning, (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM)
