





The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional and customer focused Service Advisor to join a well established and respected main dealer based in Truro. This position offers a fantastic work-life balance with shift based weekday hours and a light Saturday rota (minimum 1 in 3, possibly 1 in 4), working in a supportive dealership environment known for delivering manufacturer approved servicing and outstanding customer experiences.
In this key front of house role, you’ll act as the crucial link between customers and the workshop team, ensuring a smooth, transparent, and high-quality service journey. You'll be part of a modern, forward-thinking dealership, working alongside a skilled team of technicians and service professionals.
Responsibilities:
Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner, handling enquiries both face-to-face and over the phone.
Accurately book vehicles for service, MOTs, repairs, and diagnostic appointments.
Provide honest and transparent estimates, clearly explaining work required in plain terms.
Liaise with workshop colleagues to monitor job progress and update customers throughout the process.
Process invoices, warranty paperwork, and service administration tasks accurately and efficiently.
Maintain detailed and accurate service records.
Consistently deliver a high standard of customer service to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Experience & Skills:
Previous motor trade experience is preferred, though strong candidates from customer service-focused backgrounds will be considered.
Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking skills.
A good understanding of service, MOT, and repair processes is beneficial.
Confident with service booking systems and dealer management software.
Attention to detail, calm under pressure, and solution-focused.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
Package & Benefits:
Basic salary: £31,000 per annum
On Target Earnings: Up to £42,000 per annum – uncapped bonus structure
Working hours: Shift-based between 07:30 – 16:00 and 08:30 – 17:00
Saturday rota: minimum 1 in 3, possibly 1 in 4 (mornings only)
