Senior Service Advisor - Swindon

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced automotive Senior Service Advisor, to join a main dealership group based in Swindon that in recent years, have been awarded ‘Best Dealer Group of the Year’ for six consecutive years and crowned ‘Retailer of the Year’ in 2024.

This is a very hands-on role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the service department and assisting with workshop control, to maximise productivity and efficiencies, retail invoicing, ensuring that the customer experience with the business is kept to a high standard and KPI targets are met.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Senior Service Advisor:

Responsible for overseeing the operation of the service department and assisting with workshop control, generate invoices, accept payments, and explain detailed work and any additional findings by technicians.

Proven track record of working in a similar role at supervisory/ assistant service manager level or similar.

Experience of working in a dealership/ automotive motor trade business is essential for this role.

Standing in as the acting Service Manager in the absence of senior management. Also acting as assisting with Workshop Control.

This role will have a strong focus on looking after the front of house team, working closely with the Service Advisors, mentoring and training where necessary.

The Package:

Basic Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 – experience dependent.

KPI Bonus: Non-contractual KPI bonus

Basic Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 6.00 pm with ½ an hour unpaid lunch, every third Saturday 8.00 am to 12:00 pm.
