Parts Supervisor - Exeter

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded automotive business based in Exeter, seeking an experienced and organised Parts Supervisor to lead and develop their parts department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with proven supervisory experience within an automotive parts environment, who is looking to take ownership of a busy and well-structured department within a supportive and professional business.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the parts department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and excellent internal and external customer service.

Supervise and support a team consisting of two Parts Advisors, two Parts Delivery Drivers, and one Apprentice, ensuring performance, training, and development standards are met.

Manage stock control, ordering, pricing, and supplier relationships to maintain optimal availability and profitability.

Ensure accurate parts identification and supply to workshop and trade customers, minimising delays and errors.

Monitor departmental KPIs, reporting on performance and implementing improvements where required.

Previous experience supervising a parts department is essential, with commercial vehicle (CV) experience highly desirable.

Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills, with a hands-on and proactive approach.

Full UK Driving Licence required.

The Package:

Salary: £37,000 basic.

Working Hours: 40-hour working week, with a Saturday rota of 1 in 4.
