The Role:
Silcom Recruitment are currently seeking a skilled and motivated designated MOT Tester to join one of our clients based in Crawley. This role primarily involves conducting MOT tests, ensuring the safety and roadworthiness of their customers' vehicles. In addition to MOT testing, there is an option for the successful candidate to perform light service work as needed (if of interest). Due to a large workload, my client requires someone to come on board to assist with MOT testing on a full time, permanent basic.
Responsibilities of a MOT Tester:
Perform MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards.
Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify any issues.
Maintain accurate records of all tests performed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service, explaining test results and any required repairs.
Assist with light service work when required and as desired.
Requirements of a MOT Tester:
A valid DVSA MOT Tester License (Class 4 and/or 7).
Previous experience as an MOT Tester.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Customer-focused attitude and excellent communication skills.
Willingness to perform light service work as needed.
The Package:
Basic salary dependent on experience up to £35,000
Performance-based bonus of up to £6,000
Overtime pay for weekend work if of interest.
Amazing company benefits including 25 days holiday.
Monday to Friday 42.5 hour working week (Flexible hours available)
Saturdays – Rota basis, paid as overtime. Not essential to work weekends.
