HGV Technician - Southampton

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment currently have a great opportunity available working for an established main dealership client of ours, based in Southampton. Our client seeks an experienced HGV Vehicle Technician due to growth within the team.

Responsibilities:

Servicing, maintenance and repairs on vehicles ranging from 7.5 tonne to 44 tonne – carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components.

Advising the Service Receptionists about required repairs.

Producing timely estimates.

Maintaining repair and service records.

Package:

Alternate shifts available; Day shift, 7:00am – 4:00pm, late shift, 2:00pm – 11:00pm & nights 10:00pm – 7:00am

Ability to do permanent shifts of choice.

£14.75 per hour - £17.00 based on 40 hours a week.

**Hourly rate dependent on qualifications gained**

Shift allowance (£20 per day on late shift & £30 per day on late shift)

Overtime averages between 10-12 hours per week at 1.4 x hourly rate
