HGV Technician - Fareham

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client located in Fareham, working as a HGV Technician. You will be tasked with ensuring their vital front-line services operate smoothly. This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday.

Working in a small team in the vehicle workshop you will be undertaking maintenance of vehicles & plant equipment. Undertaking inspection, servicing, MOT preparation, diagnosing and repairs on all types of fleet vehicles. 

Continual training and development will be given to meet the ever-changing automotive sector.   

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

Carry out safety inspection on Large and Light Vehicles

Carry out safety inspection on all types of Plant and equipment.

Carry out servicing, diagnosing, repairs and defects on all types of vehicles and owned equipment.

Prepare vehicles for MOT and meet the UK road safety legislation.

Undertake specialist diagnostic with use of scanner for maintenance, and repair works of plant/vehicles in the following specialist areas:

Electrical faults

Hydraulics

Computerised container hoists & Refuse Body

Automatic gear boxes

Plant Equipment

Package:

Salary up to £38,460 + Overtime at time and a half.

36-Days holiday

No weekends

Monday to Friday – 5:30am – 2:00pm – Week 1

Monday to Friday – 8:00am – 4:00pm – Week 2
