HGV & LCV Technician - Andover

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment currently have a great opportunity available working for an established client of ours, based in Andover. Our client seeks multiple experienced HGV & LCV Vehicle Technicians due to growth within the team.

Responsibilities:

Servicing, maintenance and repairs on vehicles ranging from 7.5 tonne to 44 tonne – carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components.

Advising the Service Receptionists about required repairs.

Producing timely estimates.

Maintaining repair and service records.

Requirements:

My client will consider both level 2 and level 3 qualified individuals with either HGV or passenger vehicle experience, with an interest in working on trucks and vans.

They are also in a position to put successful applicants on fast track training and development programmes for experienced technicians who want to transition to becoming a HGV Technician.

Package:

Alternate shifts available;

Early shift; 06:30am – 14:30pm

Day shift; 08:00 – 17:00 OR 08:30 – 17:30

Late shift; 13:30 – 23:00 OR 15:00 – 23:00

Ability to do a day/ late shift rotation which includes a £100 per week shift allowance.

Ability to do permanent or changed shifts of choice.

£14.95 - £17.95 per hour based on 45 hours a week.

**Hourly rate dependent on qualifications gained**

Shift allowance (£20 per day on late shift or day/ late shift rotation)

Overtime averages between 10-12 hours per week at 1.4 x hourly rate
