Financial Accountant - Southampton

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on the behalf of an organisation, with an established site based in Southampton.

Due to continued growth within the department, our client now seeks a Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Role & Responsibilities:

Support the delivery of financial accounting, cash management and fiscal compliance across the business

Managing, and motivating one direct report.

Involvement in key month end reporting

Gathering, checking and taking ownership of VAT analysis

Supporting the improvement of accounting systems and processes and supporting the wider Financial Accounting team

The Successful Candidate:

Our client will consider someone under qualified who is eager to progress and has the passion & determination to show they are ready to step up.

Minimum of 2 years financial accounts exposure gained from a fast-paced commercial business or practice environment.

Motor trade experience - highly desired in any accounting capacity

Supervisory experience would be desirable but not essential.

An advanced level of understanding and using Excel.

The Package:

Up £35,000 Basic Salary plus fantastic company benefits including access to group car benefit scheme.

Monday to Friday working week.
