Vehicle Technician - Reading

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment is currently on the hunt for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a leading, independent, light commercial vehicle retailer based in Reading.

Our client, UK’s most trusted and biggest used retailer is in search of a Level 2 qualified Vehicle Technician with a valid UK driving license.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

MOT Certificate highly desirable but not essential.

Demonstrated passion for mechanical work and excellent customer interaction skills.

Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues with various systems and components of vehicles or machinery.

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles or equipment to assess overall condition and identify potential problems.

Collaborate with other technicians and team members to address challenging diagnostic issues.

Document diagnostic procedures, findings, and repairs accurately for record-keeping and quality control purposes.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while performing diagnostic and repair tasks.

The Package:

Basic Salary: £40,000 + Bonus!! [Bonus to be discussed with the employer].

Monday to Friday hours: [8:00am – 5:30pm].

(1-in-3) Saturday rota [8:30am – 12:30pm].

**When working the Saturday rotation, you are given the following Friday afternoon off**
