Vehicle Technician - Melksham

The Role:

We are delighted to be supporting a well-established, independent family-run garage based in the Melksham area, in their search for a Vehicle Technician to join their experienced and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:

General servicing and repair work across all makes and models

Mechanical repairs including clutches, brakes, suspension, and cooling/heating systems

Carrying out fault diagnosis using tools and diagnostic equipment

Supporting the service team with repair recommendations and job updates

Test driving vehicles to confirm faults and verify repairs

Maintaining accurate records and adhering to workshop processes

Contributing to a tidy, efficient, and well-organised workshop environment

About You:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred

Minimum 3 years' experience in an automotive technician role

Confident diagnosing and repairing faults across a range of vehicle systems

Comfortable using diagnostic tools and basic electrical repair knowledge

Strong communication and teamworking skills

Reliable, punctual, and detail-focused

Full UK driving licence essential

Package & Benefits:

Basic salary between £28,000 – £40,000 depending on experience

Full-time, Monday to Friday only – no weekends
