The Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of an established Marine Engineering company, who are a specialist supplier in marine power, systems and equipment, with a site based in Southampton. Our client are keen to add a Service Advisor to their team on a full time basis, you will be responsible for the following:
Role and Responsibilities:
The Service Advisor, reporting to the Service Manager, will have a strong customer focus and ideally knowledge of marine engines & equipment (not essential), supported by excellent computer and communication skills. They will carry out a wide range of service department duties, whilst prioritising their workload to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
This role will involve the successful candidate being first line of communication for the customer and will include the allocation of current and additional workloads between the engineers, you will provide support in respect of business systems including data input and document control whilst highlighting and addressing any day to day issues with the Service Manager. Marine industry experience and marine engineering background with the ability to converse at a technical level with customers and colleagues is preferred but not essential.
We are looking for a friendly, confident and capable individual who can deal with all kinds of customers under pressure and remain professional at all times. Service Advisor experience from similar environment such as automotive will be an advantage.
The Package:
Basic Salary (Experience Dependant) up to £24,000 plus an on target earnings. (to be discussed at interview)
Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00 - NO WEEKEND WORK.
