The Role:

Silcom Recruitment are actively searching for qualified and experienced IT professionals to join our premium client as an IT Support Executive in the Southampton area.

Our client is a large automotive corporation, seeking a competent person to act as an IT Support Executive, logging and processing all calls/emails and tickets that are risen. You will be called upon to assist with both hardware and software instalments as well as general IT support with Microsoft applications and various in-house systems.

You would be reporting directly to the group Head of IT and working within a newly refurbished office environment alongside an experienced team of IT Support professionals.

As an IT Support Executive, you will be responsible for the following:

Monitor ticket queues and chase as required, updating staff with fault progress and timescales. Wherever possible closing helpdesk calls directly

The support of hardware and software for devices and applications from Servers, Desktops and Laptops - Manage and set up new hardware following IT policies and procedures

OS Setup/Support – Microsoft Windows 10, Mac OS & Anti-Virus support

Able to assimilate information quickly and provide considered responses as well as the creation of ‘how to’ user guides for staff

Possibly - Visiting sites in the south of England where ‘hands on’ is necessary

Attention to detail, maintaining a high standard, accurate quality of work

Good analytical, problem solving skills and enthusiasm for continual learning

The Package:

Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum [experience dependent]

Hours [Full-Time]: Monday-Friday – 8:00am - 5:00pm (hours subject to change)
