HGV Technician - Exeter

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established, respected, and forward-thinking business in their search for an HGV Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and skilled HGV Technician seeking a stable, rewarding career within a professional and progressive workshop environment, located in Exeter.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Carry out routine servicing, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a range of heavy goods vehicles to the highest standard.

Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.

Work to manufacturer and industry guidelines ensuring all work is completed to a safe and professional standard.

Complete job cards, service sheets, and maintain accurate records.

Assist with MOT preparations and ensure vehicles meet compliance standards.

Ensure the workshop environment is kept safe, clean, and compliant at all times.

Previous experience as a qualified HGV Technician is essential, with a recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).

A valid HGV licence is desirable but not essential.

The Package:

£22.00 per hour + bonus & overtime available.

Hours - 4 on / 4 off shift pattern.12-hour shifts (6:30am – 6:30pm). + overtime available.
