The Role:
We are recruiting on the behalf of a top client of ours based in Berkshire, seeking to add an experienced Head of Manufacturing to their business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the following:

To maximise the automation of production.
To create a visually stunning factory, with simple work flows.
To deeply embed work processes that drive the business without conscious thought.
A Commercial awareness that guides decision making in general and specifically within the new product development (NPD) process.
Management of 180 plus staff in a productive and effective manor, managing large skilled teams on multiple shifts.
Proven track record in Engineering/ Manufacturing Management (15 years).
Personal Profile: The Individual must be able to demonstrate that he/she:
Recognises the importance of Maintenance as a tool for improving productivity.
Understands that machine tool condition and the treatment of machine tools in production, is at the heart of a manufacturing process.
Has created the “habit” of continuous improvement within the whole team.
Recognises that Organisation is as effective as Capital Investment, in the reduction of waste.
Understands that Quality is not a lag indicator, but a driver for improvement.

Education:
Educated to degree standard in a relevant engineering discipline or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge through experience.
The Package:
£70,000 - £80,000 basic salary depending on experience, car allowance, 15% bonus, 9% Pension contribution, BUPA Family, Life Assurance and Group Income Protection Insurance. Overall package £100,000 +.
