Financial Controller - Farnborough

The Role:

Here at Silcom Recruitment we are delighted to be representing a 50 year old established family owned motor trade business. My client seeks a Financial Controller located at one of their sites based on the outskirts of Farnborough. Our client is currently in need of a competent accounts professional who brings motor trade experience. This is essential for this role.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of the central accounting function, typically but not limited to producing final management accounts, comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, debtor and supplier control/management. This includes manufacturer composite submissions.

The candidate will have already spent time working in the motor trade dealership environment and will be confident in communicating with staff at all levels. We are looking for someone with an analytical mind who is self-motivated but willing to work as part of a team. The candidate must have proven experience in the management of staff and the ability to encourage and nurture team members to ensure that the team is driven and successful in their monthly deadlines and to maintain a pleasurable environment for all.

The main duties for this role as Financial Controller:

Preparing TB’s ready for account production to a monthly timetable for each franchise.

Performing Balance Sheet Reconciliations monthly.

Reconciliation of vehicle stock and monthly vehicle depreciation.

Monitoring of debtors, bonus debtors.

Performing BACS payments as required for settlements.

Deputise for cashflow in the absence of the FD.

Ensuring that department is up to date on all banking and that the bank is reconciled by your team daily.

Overseeing other accounts and sales administration-related staff.

Ensuring that your team is up to date and all aspects of all ledgers are reconciled on a monthly basis.

Assist in the preparation of reconciliations for the year end.

Package:

Salary: Up to £60,000 [Dependent-On-Experience]
