The Role:

We are recruiting on the behalf of a top client of ours based in Morden, seeking to add a Dealership Accountant to their growing group. Reporting to the Franchise Financial Controller and Franchise Director, you will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts and maintaining the balance sheet for the business sites Battersea/Morden. You will also be providing robust and accurate financial reports. Supporting the Head of Operational Accounting, you will be responsible for the following:

Main Duties will include:

Ensure that management accounts are submitted accurately and to the specified deadlines
Review management accounts and highlight variances from budget and prior year with management team
Assist the management teams by resolving any accounting queries
Maintain a healthy Balance Sheet, ensuring that all queries are dealt with in a timely manner
Assist in the production of annual budgets
Assist in the production of the year end pack and dealing with auditors
Carry out periodic internal control reviews to ensure that policies and procedures are being adhered to
Assist other members of the accounts team to ensure that deadlines are met where necessary
Authorise payments to suppliers and third parties, ensuring that they’re in accordance with company policy.
Review central ledgers and balance sheet accounts
Attend management meetings to provide further accounts explanations or analysis where required

 

What we’re looking for:

An Accountant or experienced Assistant Accountant with relevant qualifications
Prior experience in Motor Trade accounting
The ideal candidate will have Kerridge Rev8 experience but this isn’t essential
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to use these to reconcile data in an efficient manner
Conscientious and demonstrates a high attention to detail while maintaining accurate records
Ability to work well under pressure, schedule work appropriately and show initiative to improve procedures where appropriate
You should be enthusiastic, flexible and committed.

The Package:

£40,000 - £45,000 Depending on experience + Bonus + Company Car. As well as Fantastic company benefits. Monday to Friday 8:30-5:00.
