Bodyshop Technical Team Leader - Southampton

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment are on the hunt for a Bodyshop Technical Team Leader for a client of ours who operate a large Accident Repair Centre, based on the outskirts of Southampton.

The ideal candidate will come from a MET technical background and hold a Full UK driver’s license; however, our client would consider someone nonproductive working in a full-time controller position, with Bodyshop experience.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Bodyshop Technical Team Leader:

Distribute work among team based on skill sets, identify and address training needs through coaching.

Coordinate communication between workshop and service reception on customer vehicle progress.

Maintain workshop standards to meet brand requirements, ensure compliance with manufacturer service standards and customer satisfaction metrics.

Drive workshop efficiency and effectiveness and conduct road tests with customers to diagnose faults.

Perform fault finding within the workshop, assist with warranty processes and job cards.

Lead morning meetings to review jobs and implement improvements.

Day to day management support to the General Bodyshop Manager.

Split hybrid role between working as an MET Technician and Controller (people management) and conduct final quality control sign-off.  

Package:

Basic Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 (dependent on experience) + [£50,000 OTE]!!

42.5 hour working week.
