Silcom Recruitment are currently seeking an Assistant Aftersales Manager to join our dynamic team in the motor industry, based in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient operation of the aftersales department, with a specific focus on managing the front counter and providing support in the absence of the Aftersales Manager. Responsibilities & Requirements:
Front Counter Management:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide information, guidance, and recommendations to customers regarding aftersales services, products, and repairs.
Ensure prompt and accurate completion of customer transactions, including invoicing and payments.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues effectively, striving to achieve customer satisfaction.
Support for Aftersales Manager:
Assume responsibility for the aftersales department in the absence of the manager.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
Provide input on staff training needs and contribute to the development of training programs.
Support and motivate the aftersales team to achieve their individual and collective goals.
Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding new team members.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and employee satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Previous experience in the motor industry or automotive aftersales is highly desirable.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Competitive basic salary ranging from £32,000 to £35,000 per annum.
Attractive bonus structure of £8,000 based on performance.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 18:00pm. Weekend Rota 08:30 – 13:00.
