Assistant Accountant - Salisbury

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment are pleased to be working alongside a long-term client to aid them in the acquisition of a trained Assistant Accountant for their Salisbury based dealership.  

To fit this business, a suitable Assistant Accountant must have a productive and efficient attitude, as well as thorough automotive accounts and banking experience.

An Assistant Accountant for such a company should be highly attentive, with excellent business awareness, as well as having the will and ability to work with upper management, aiding with various projects all while liaising between multiple teams, banks, and businesses.

Role and Responsibilities of an Assistant Accountant:

Daily Cashflow Reconciliation

Bank Transaction Posting

Bank Account Reconciliation

Handling Vehicle and Ad hoc Payments

Group-wide Receipt CheckingVehicle Adoption Audit

Bonus Debit/Credit Note Posting

Fuel Recharge Management

Retail Dealership Transactions

Monthly Parts Plus Invoice Handling

Petty Cash Management and Reconciliation

Vehicle Creditors Oversight

Finance Settlement Processing

Vehicle Sales Ledger Review

Proficiency in Excel and automotive systems

(although, automotive system knowledge is non-essential in this case. Training will be provided)

The Package: 

Salary: £28,000 per annum (potentially negotiable)

Hours: [Full-Time – 37.5 hours per week] generally 8:30am-5:00pm with a 1-hour break | Hybrid working is available for TWO days per week!
