Assistant Accountant - Eastleigh

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment currently have a great opportunity available for a motor trade experienced Assistant Accountant, working for an established client of ours based around the outskirts of Southampton.

Our ideal Assistant Accountant must hold current, or previous motor trade accounting experience. Our client are also able to consider experienced Accounts Assistants who might be keen to step up.

Responsibilities & Requirements in brief -

Month end journals – preparation and posting of standard, reversing and miscellaneous

Processing additions, disposals and depreciation within fixed assets module

Monthly reviewing/adjusting the finance commissions and insurance product sold

Preparing the balance sheets for month end file, ready for the accountant to approve

Qualifications, Training and Experience -

Ability to be able to provide financial guidance and advice at all levels

Strong communication skills to ensure that changes to the financial issues affecting the Dealership are communicated to the appropriate persons immediately

Good IT/Excel skills

Salary:

£30,000 - £32,000 Basic Starting Salary (Experience Dependent)

Hours: Monday to Friday - 37.5-hour week
