Silcom Recruitment currently have a great opportunity available for a motor trade experienced Assistant Accountant, working for an established client of ours based around in Birmingham.
Our ideal Assistant Accountant must hold current, or previous motor trade accounting experience. Our client are also able to consider experienced Accounts Assistants within the industry, who might be keen to step up.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
Assisting the Management Accountants with preparation of the monthly accounts.
Sales and Purchase ledger monitoring, reconciling & month-end closures
Manufacturer key account reconciliations
Fixed Asset Register Maintenance & Depreciation runs
Intercompany account reconciliations
Accruals & Prepayments postings and reconciliations
Various balance sheet account reconciliations
VAT return and audit related tasks
Supervise Accounts teams and ensure daily tasks are up to date
Support with Teams Debt meetings
Up to £30,000 Basic Salary (Experience Dependent)
Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5-hour week
