The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join an established motor trade business based in Milton Keynes on a full time basis.

Reporting to the Accounts Supervisor and working within a team, you will be responsible for the following.


Collation, processing and verification of payments through the companies online banking system.

Collation, posting and allocation of Cashbooks and daily site banking receipts for multiple site locations.

Reconciliation of bank accounts.

Produce and publish regular Sales ledger debtors reports to internal departments.

Produce and distribute Sales Ledger statements to customers as required.

Reconciliation of key vehicle debtor and creditor balance sheet accounts.

Vehicle stock funding reporting and reconciliation.

Reconciliation of New and Used vehicle stock and vehicle creditor accounts.

Registering and Coding Purchase Ledger Invoices.

Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Key Skills:

Good Understanding of Cashbook/Banking and Sales Ledger functions.

Experience with working with a significant volume of Purchase and Sales invoices, suppliers, customers and internal departments.

Ideally, experience within the retail automotive environment.

Excel skills and preferably CDK Drive or Rev8.35 experience.

Accuracy and attention to detail.

Used to working to tight deadlines.

Good Communication Skills.

Team Player.

The Package:

Salary up to £28,000 dependent on experience. This role offers hybrid working also.

08:30-5:00 with 60 minutes for lunch. Flexible hours available.
